 "Choi Yena and Eunchan (TEMPEST) Set to Shine in ‘Villains Everywhere(빌런의 나라)’

Singer Choi Yena (YENA) and TEMPEST’s Eunchan are set to shine in The Land of Villains.

Choi Yena and Eunchan will appear in the new KBS 2TV Wednesday-Thursday sitcom Villains Everywhere, which premieres on the 19th.

Villains Everywhere is a situational comedy drama depicting the sometimes rough yet warm daily lives of K-zoomer sisters and their quirky families.

Choi Yena takes on the role of Koo Won-hee, a second-year student at Pyeonghwa High School and a guest member of Oh Nara's (played by Oh Nara) family. Koo Won-hee is a musical prodigy who plays the contrabass and seems perfect in every way, from looks to family background. However, her life turns upside down due to an incident, leading her to live with Oh Nara’s family.

Choi Yena reportedly put in exceptional effort to fully portray Koo Won-hee by researching the character in various ways. She shared, “To become Won-hee, I even learned to play musical instruments. Won-hee excels not only in the contrabass but also in piano, so I took lessons whenever I could and focused on practice,” expressing her dedication to the role.

Marking her first lead role in a terrestrial drama, Choi Yena is expected to captivate viewers by driving the story with charm and flair.

Eunchan plays Song Kang, the eldest son of Oh Yoo-jin (played by So Yoo-jin) and Song Jin-woo (played by Song Jin-woo). His character is portrayed as his parents' only hope, gifted with good looks, height, and intelligence, as well as being a fully logical MBTI T-type.

Taking on his first full-fledged acting role, Eunchan commented, “Every time we film, it’s so fun and refreshing. Whenever I’m unsure about how to improve a scene, I seek advice from senior actors Oh Nara, So Yoo-jin, Seo Hyun-chul, and Song Jin-woo. Their warm guidance has been an immense help.”

With Villains Everywhere, Eunchan embarks on his journey as an “acting idol,” drawing attention to what unique charm he will bring to win over viewers.

Meanwhile, the first episode of KBS 2TV’s new Wednesday-Thursday sitcom Villains Everywhere, starring Choi Yena and Eunchan, will air on March 19th (Wednesday).
