IU, filmed When Life Gives You Tangerines after drinking alcohol…“Didn’t want makeup to make it look cute.”

 

Actress IU revealed that she drank real alcohol while filming When Life Gives You Tangerines.

On the 16th, Netflix Korea's YouTube channel uploaded a video titled "Big Ae-soon cries again, Ae-soon, Gwan-sik, and Geum-myung react to the 2nd Act Highlights of When Life Gives You Tangerines."

The video features IU, Moon So-ri, and Park Hae-jun watching episodes 5 to 8 of the second act of When Life Gives You Tangerines, sharing behind-the-scenes stories.

While watching a scene where she drinks alcohol during a meal with Park Hae-jun, IU said, "At that time, I actually had a drink."

Moon So-ri commented, "Your face looks flushed," and IU explained, "If I had used makeup to create that redness, it could have looked cute instead of realistic, so I just drank."

Park Hae-jun asked, "Did I drink, too?" IU replied, "I don't think you did. Maybe you drank after the shoot." To which he laughed and said, "If it was after filming, I probably did drink."
